No client money, no title, no document keys. The safest asset is the one we never touch.
The perimeter
Three things UIE never holds.
- No client moneyPayment runs between the parties and their banks, under a letter of credit or an escrow with a named agent. No UIE account sits in the path, so there is nothing to freeze, misapply or lose.
- No titleTitle moves between the parties: by electronic bill of lading for cargo, by a signed transfer instrument for a registered asset. The desk is refused by its own gate if it attempts to take title.
- No document keysEvery document is encrypted to the parties entitled to read it. The operator is never among the recipients; whoever reaches the storage finds ciphertext.
How it works
Every action gated, every decision receipted.
- Keys belong to peopleEach person holds their own signing key. There are no shared logins: an instruction is signed by a named individual, under a mandate their own firm issued them, or it does not happen.
- Gated and receiptedA state-changing action passes a gate that checks the role, the freshness of verification, the mandate and its limits, and whether a second pair of eyes is required. Allow, step up or deny: all three are receipted.
- Chained, not merely storedEach receipt carries the hash of the one before it, so the sequence cannot be reordered and nothing can be inserted or quietly removed without the chain failing.
- Access expires on its ownA bank, inspector or insurer is given what the job needs, for as long as it needs it. Access lapses without anyone remembering to revoke it, and you can see who opened your file, when and why.
- Revocation is immediateWithdraw a mandate and the work stops in the same request cycle. There is no window in which a former trader can still commit you.
- Held in the European UnionStorage is in Frankfurt and stays there. Your member records sit behind row-level access control: you see your own, the desk sees what it must, and no one else sees anything.
